This sculpture was actually inspired by the wooden base. I saw this heart-shaped piece of wood in the craft section and thought "I should make something to fit that". The heart shape immediately made me think of making a woman with a sort of "come hither" kind of gesture. Why did I choose to make a demon lady? I just have a thing for angels and demons; it's just so much fun to sculpt wings and pointy claws. Plus I was able to twist the tail into a heart shape to mirror the shape of the wood. So there you go. The wire is aluminum, in case you were wondering.
