Flat Stanley picked some of his favorite places to show you in the video. Here is some more information about the pictures that you will see: Tren Urbano Officially inaugurated on December 17, 2004. Tren Urbano is a fully automated metro system that serves the metropolitan area of Puerto Rico, which includes the municipalities of San Juan, Bayamón, and Guaynabo. Each of the 16 stations boasts unique artwork and architectural style. Puerto Rico Convention Center The Center is the largest facility of its kind in the Caribbean and the most technologically-advanced in the Caribbean and Latin America. Coliseo de Puerto Rico The Puerto Rico Coliseum is destined to be the premier venue for sporting, corporate and entertainment events. With a seating capacity of 18,500. Caguas, PR Caguas is a city and municipality of Puerto Rico best know as "The heart of Puerto Rico". Caguas name originates from the Taíno cacique Caguax. Dorado, PR Dorado has been voted Puerto Rico's cleanest town several times throughout its history. Dorado is located in the norther region of the island. Beaches Puerto Rico's beaches are varied. The fabulous white sand beaches and turquoise seas are in Vieques and Culebra but mainland Puerto Rico has its share of interesting beaches as well. Isabela has dunes, Maunabo has dramatically beautiful views and Luquillo has lovely view of the mountains. The beaches around the scenic Cabo Rojo lighthouse are white sand and Rincon has its great surfing waves in the winter. Old San Juan San Juan is the capitol of Puerto Rico. Old San Juan is characterized by its narrow cobblestone streets and colorful buildings which date back to the 16th and 17th century when Puerto Rico was a Spanish possession. Old San Juan has an abundance of historic places, museums, restaurants, tree-shaded "plazas", and its old beauty. Fort San Felipe El Morro is the magnificent castle that guards the entrance to San Juan Bay and San Cristóbal is the massive fort that protected the walled city of San Juan from invasion by land. Kids enjoy flying kites in the front of Fort El Morro. Monuments Cathedral of San Juan Bautista, Parque de las Palomas, La Fortaleza (San Juan's wall and sea-side gates to the city), Capitol of Puerto Rico(House of Laws) and Paseo La Princesa fountain. Crafts A fusion of elements of Taino, Spanish and African cultures produces craft forms with a personality all of their own. Various expressions of craftsmanship are: musical instruments, masks, carved wooden saints (santos), furniture, rag dolls, textiles, and drums. University of Puerto Rico Founded in 1903, the University of Puerto Rico (Universidad de Puerto Rico in Spanish, UPR) is the oldest and largest university system in Puerto Rico. UPR consists of 11 campuses with approximately 64,740 student and faculty. Food and Sweets Rice is a mainstay of the Puerto Rican diet and it can be prepared in a variety of ways. Lechón asado, or barbecued pig, is a festive island dish. Some of the best-loved street snacks are deep-fried codfish fritter (bacalaítos fritos) and alcapurrias, banana croquettes stuffed with beef or pork. Traditional candies of Puerto Rico: turrones, marzipan, mango and guava pastes, mampostial, sesame and more flavors! Other Puerto Rican candies are "pilones" our traditional lollypops. Piraguas: A shaved ice cone covered with syrup of fruity flavors such as: raspberry, pineapple, coconut, guava or tamarind, among others. Forests and mountains Plantains are an important crop in many agricultural sectors of Puerto Rico and are used in a variety of dishes. Puerto Rican mangoes are sweet and fibrous. Puerto Rico's Flamboyan trees, palms, rivers and mountains are very beautiful! The Puerto Rican Parrot is the only native parrot species in Puerto Rico and the only one remaining in the US. Family Flat Stanley was sent to titi Francheska's home where she lives with her mom, titi Lilly, and her dog: Angui. ("titi" means auntie in spanish) Goodbye The long bridge that connects the Hato Rey/Río Piedas sector of San Juan with the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport bears the name of Teodoro Moscoso. It's the longest bridge over a body of water in Puerto Rico. Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport is the island's main international gateway. We had so much more to see in Puerto Rico. Flat Stanley explored the island and experienced a tropical paradise. Next time he comes we will go to El Yunque(our national rainforest), the Arecibo Observatory(distinguished by its enormous size), Río Camuy Cave Park (with a tropical underground river thundering through it), Mayagüez Zoo(It is almost like being at a tropical garden or jungle.) and many more. There is so much to see in Puerto Rico! I hope you had fun watching Flat Stanley's adventures in Puerto Rico!

Jan 10, 2010 - Thanks to llt50 for the heads up on this. There are actually two songs here so I am not sure which is which but at least I have something to start my searches with. El Gran Combo has ruled for almost if not more than 50 years and they're still the baddest! Sounds like YomoToro on the Quatro. Played at my Dad's wake back in 91. Living in England for 30 years has not dampened my love for this sound. I need to see PR before I go :-(
